I. The Scriptures: We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men who spoke and wrote as inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is written without error or contradiction and is the foundation of living a holy life in support of Christian union. (II Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; Romans 16:26-27)
II. The Triune Godhead: We believe that there is one, true and living God, Who manifests Himself in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, all of Whom are equal in power and glory, yet, distinct in harmonious functionality to bring about the great work of redemption. (Mark 12:29; 1 John 5:8)
III. The Fall of Man: We believe that man was created in perfect holiness by God, as an image of God, but voluntarily transgressed God's word. Therefore, man lost his holiness, which can only be regained through a belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that by rejecting Christ, man is accepting eternal damnation. (Genesis 1:26-31; Genesis 3:17; Romans 5:1221; Revelation 22:17; Hebrews 10:26-27)
IV. Salvation: We believe that salvation is the gift of God and can only be received through God's grace not by any works or intentions of man. We believe that salvation is freely given to all who put their faith in Jesus Christ and the work He completed at Calvary. We believe that Christ lived a perfect life and sacrificed Himself so that man could gain eternal life and life more abundant here on earth. We believe that Jesus Christ's death is a full atonement for our sins and that all who believe in Him are redeemed by His shed blood. We believe that Christ has risen from the dead and is seated in heaven as our High Priest and Advocate, making intercession for us. (Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Timothy 2:3-6; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Peter 2:21-23; John 10:17-18; Ephesians 1:20-23; Romans 8:34)
V. Regeneration: We believe that all who receive God's gift of salvation are born-again, by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, into the family of God. (Romans 8:9-11, 15-17; John 1:12-13)
VI. Sanctification: We believe that through salvation, man is sanctified through a continuous progression of regenerative work, which is performed by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God, self-examination, self-denial and prayer. (Romans 12:1-3; Galatians 6:1-5; Luke 6:41-42; 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18)
VII. Justification: We believe that all who receive God's gift of salvation also receive the imputation of perfect righteousness through God's grace, and are seen as sinless through the sinless blood of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:1-10; Romans 10:6-10; Romans 4:22-5:2)
VIII. Repentance: We believe that for man to receive God's gift of salvation, that man must have a repentant heart. We believe that man must not only feel guilt and remorse for committing sin, but purpose to turn away from sin accompanied by a sincere desire to wholly seek the Lord and reliance on Christ, alone, for forgiveness of sin. (2 Corinthians 7:10; Ezekiel 18:23; 2 Peter 3:9)
IX. The Christian Walk and the Great Commission: We believe that all true believers in Jesus Christ will strive to live holy by walking after the Spirit and not after the flesh, thus fulfilling the works of the indwelling Holy Spirit. We believe that each true believer should participate in the Lord's Supper, be water baptized, fellowship with other believers for purposes of worship, prayer and Biblical instruction, and work as instruments of God, through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit to minister the redemption and reconciliation of God to those who have not received salvation. (Romans 8:34; Philippians 2:12-13; Ephesians 2:10; 1 Corinthians 11:24-25, 28; Acts 10:47-48; Matthew 28:19; Hebrews 10:24-25; Romans 12:12; 2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
